For those who are into fitness challenges, the Brighton Marathon is going to be entering its third year in 2012 and is still an exciting new opportunity for people who enjoy marathon running. Despite being a relatively new marathon, it is rated as one of the best ones to take part in in the UK and much of this is due to the beautiful surrounds in which the marathon is held.
Many people have heard of the Edinburgh fringe Festival, which is a celebration of the greatest theatre and comedy acts around. Brighton fringe is the town's own take on this and attracts many famous acts from around the country. As well as professionals, many amateurs perform in the fringe which means there is a huge array of acts and there is something for every taste.
Don't leave the Olympics out altogether though as Brighton is one of the celebration towns that has been selected to be part of the Games.
